What is healthcare staffing?

Healthcare staffing connects healthcare professionals with assignments at care providers through staffing firms. Available assignments and terms vary between firms, professions and workplaces. Here you can compare staffing firms before your next step and read consultant ratings where available.

Frequently asked questions

How to compare healthcare staffing firms and understand the rankings and consultant ratings.

Signed-in consultants receive one initial rating opportunity per firm without having to report time. New ratings unlock per firm when the consultant reports time in the platform.

The rankings only include firms that currently meet our consultant rating criteria, including having recent ratings. The number of ratings is shown for each firm. The directory also includes firms without ratings, so you can compare more options.

Sign-in verifies the consultant's identity, not that they have worked for the rated firm. Reported time is not independent certification of completed work. You can read company profiles and published consultant ratings without signing in.

Sign in with BankID and submit an enquiry with your profession and preferences. We look for relevant firms that participate in matching and can receive your enquiry. Firms given access to it can contact you to discuss assignments. You can follow its status in your account. A saved enquiry does not mean a firm has received it, and not every firm in the directory participates in matching.

Ask for written terms covering salary or fees, schedules and what compensation includes. Ask about pension contributions, insurance, travel and accommodation, and what happens if an assignment changes or is cancelled. Distinguish employment terms from assignments invoiced through your own business.

Ask who your contact person is, how workplace induction works and how to get help if something changes. Find out what support the firm offers before, during and after the assignment, and when your contact person is available.

Check which professions, specialties and locations the firm works with. Ask about duties, schedules, assignment length and required experience. Use consultant ratings as additional context and consider how many ratings they are based on before drawing conclusions.
